Kaspersky Spread To Malaysia

Kaspersky is a company, developing an anti-virus program, which is an multinational business. I pick this news to write about because of my interested. I'm a technology lover and I like to get updated about new technology all the times. Here's a summarize of the news.

Kaspersky, Russia-based information security solutions, opened its first local office in Malaysia to presence their band in South-East Asia. They invested around RM1million to set up their first facility. Jimmy Fong, channel sales director at Kaspersky Labs South-East Asia, said that they are putting all their efforts to present in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines. He also said that Kaspersky has a 50% share of the Malaysian consumer information-security market as well as Thai, Indonesian and Filipino markets. Therefore, They are trying to put the number higher to 70% by 2014.

In my mind, I think this shows the growing of economy and marketing. Not many competition is in this market so, the market is opened for them to spread their products to gain percentage in the computer security software. Kaspersky does not only do well in Malaysia but also in Thailand. It's well-known for Thai computer users and also hold the large percentage in the market.
