Oil Palm Companies Caused Water Pollution

I found this news interesting because it's about two companies were fined a great amount of money after released waste to the public river. I like the way they were punished so they wouldn't do like this again.

Two oil palm companies were fined a huge amount of money, RM25,000, for releasing waste matter into the river above the allowed limit cause the water pollution and affect to water animals. The PPNJ oil palm factory was gotten to the court by releasing waste that contained biological oxygen demand and suspended solids. However, the factory had to pay RM15,000 for fine whether got a six months' jail for the offence. Similarly, a Felda-owned oil palm factory was also charged. They had to pay RM10,000 or six months's jail for the offence.

In my mind, this is a right thing to do in order to save this world. People are more selfish and doesn't care enough about the environment. Alike to Thailand, lots of factories release their waste that contain poisonous substances directly into the river. As a result, it cause a water pollution, and has effects on water animal.
