First, I would like to tell you that this article is about crossing a road in Australia compared with Malaysia. With the same law, Why are they different? For me, I used to live in Malaysia for a year and found that it's a serious social problem. Next is the passage from the news.
The writer said that he was in Australia with his son, they crossed the road for several times at the zebra crossing, all the cars stopped for them without doubtful. So he queried in his mind that might it be different in Malaysia. He came back to Malaysia to find out his question. He tried this experiment four times at different parts of the town, and he found that Malaysia's drivers, include police, don't stop at the zebra lines. They ignored it. However, there are kind drivers who let the pedestrians cross the road.
Compared with Thailand, I think what people do here is similar to people in Malaysia, ignored. If you must cross the road and there is no overcrossing, remember to run as fast as you can because no one would stop for you.
